Core Academic Skills Assessment (CASA)

Take the Core Academic Skills Assessment

The Core Academic Skills Assessment (CASA) is a customized educator licensure agreement designed to measure your knowledge and skills in relation to Indiana's educator standards.

CASA includes three subtests:

  • Reading (75 minutes)
  • Mathematics (75 minutes)
  • Writing (105 minutes)

You may register to take each subtest independently, or you may register to take all three subtests in one testing session. You can download study guides and sample questions to help you prepare.

Step 1: Register for your exam

Log in to your CASA account to register for your test. You will receive an email confirming your test selection, test date, test time, and testing center location. The cost to take the CASA is $38 per test. Test fees must be paid at the time of registration, using a credit, debit, or check card (VISA or Mastercard only). If you have a voucher, you may apply it during the registration process.

The Testing Center is not responsible for scheduling, rescheduling, or cancelling of appointments. All changes to your appointment must be made using the link below.

  • $20 per subtest

The sitting fee does not guarantee an appointment. You must use the link above to schedule. The Testing Center is not responsible for scheduling, rescheduling, or cancelling of appointments.

The sitting fee must be paid prior to the day of your exam. Payment CANNOT be made at the Testing Center. Failure to make advanced payment will result in forfeiture of your appointment.

Proof of sitting fee payment is required on the day of your exam.
