The ALEKS math placement can be taken online. You do not need to visit campus to complete your placement test.

You may take the ALEKS Math Assessment up to five times within a one-year period. ALEKS saves all of your responses, so the test does not have to be completed in one sitting. However, if you do not complete the test in 24 hours, you will have to restart the assessment.

For the test to be effective, you must take it on your own, without notes, books, or help from others. ALEKS is a test to help you find the course where you'll have the best chance to succeed.

When taking the math placement test, try to plan for 90 minutes of uninterrupted time. Have a pencil and plenty of scratch paper, but do not use your personal calculator. An online calculator will be provided.

After taking the math placement test, you will receive access to ALEKS learning modules that you can use to brush up on specific math topics you think you may need more practice on. You will have six months to use the learning modules, and you can retest up to four times.
